Completely disable all spelling/grammar/thesaurus tools

Hi everyone,

I need to completely disable the ability to check spelling, grammar, and use
the thesaurus.

Anyone have some tips for me?

Disable on your one machine? As a network administrator? Something else?

Hi Cindy,

One machine (well, a small number of machines on a temporary basis whilst
they are being used during examinations).

Well, your best bet is to simply not install (or to uninstall) the proofing
tools. You don't mention which version of Word is involved (I should have
asked), but you should find it under an "Office" heading in the
customization type of setup list. Problem is, since the proofing tools are
shared, you usually need to uninstall the entire Office suite to pull them
off a machine. Then you can re-install (using the "custom" route) without
including them.
