We have written a little program (user interface) where you can click on a
Word document and it saves a copy, to a specified location, as a filtered web
page using Word's Save As options.

What I'm finding is that when I save a word document as a filtered web page,
the graphs and charts text (on axis labels, headings etc) is displaying quite
blurry. The graphs and charts have been created in Excel and inserted as a
picture into Word.

It does not matter if I use our user interface or just open Word and go
"File - Save As", the web page graphs and charts text (on axis labels,
headings etc) is still blurry.

Has anyone found the same problem? Anyone found a solution so that the
graphs and charts are readible in a web page?

Hi there,

I've certainly had the same problem - especially when using gradient fills
on graphs. I would try pasting the charts into Word in different ways -
linked chart object etc. If required you could also break those links using
your interface.
I wouldn't see the interface being an issue in this as it will be using the
same commands to Save the webpage.

My advise to users was to avoid using gradient fills in their charts and we
suggest pasting special as a linked chart object and breaking the link before
conversion to HTML.

Good luck!

Thanks SQ

It isn't the gradient fills, it is the actual text. The words on the axis
etc.
They are just line charts anyway so there is no gradients on them.

I have tried the "pasting as special" option but still no luck. I think it
has something to do with the conversion process but thanks anyway SQ...
