I accidentally added a misspelling to the custom dictionary in Word 2007 by
right-clicking the Word and clicking Add to Dictionary. How can I remove that
word from the dictionary so it will continue to be marked with a red wavy
underline? Thanks in advance.

Click the Office button > Word Options > Proofing. In the middle of
the dialog, click the Custom Dictionaries button. In the next dialog,
click the Edit Word List button. And in the third dialog, select the
incorrect word and click the Delete button.

Jay--when I go into Word Help and type a keyword in the search box like I did
to try to track this answer down with "spell check," I rarely get hits even
if I'm specific in my keywords. Have you found this too or maybe because
you're so familair with Word, you don't have a need to use it. I'm really
disappointed in the 07 Help feature. Am I doing something wrong?

No, the help in 2007 seems to be horribly indexed. It's been going
steadily downhill since Word 2000.
