SEVEN MEN FROM NOW
(By the way - genuine question - "Boetticher" - how do you pronounce
it?) |

RESPONSE:
Bet-tick-er, slight accent on Bet.
That's how I've heard many people who knew him pronounce it, and how he was
introduced at a screening of The Tall T I saw him at.
And that's how he said it when he called me one day, out of the blue, to
thank me for my IMDb bio. Bit of a stunner, that.

Richard Brooks' THE PROFESSIONALS (1966) co-starring Burt Lancaster,
Woody Strode, Claudia Cardinale, Jack Palance, and Marvin's DIRTY
DOZEN co-star, Robert Ryan.
Strode and Cardinale later turned up in ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST
(1969). Palance and Marvin had worked together in Aldrich's great
ATTACK! (1956). (Aldrich also directed THE DIRTY DOZEN.) |

Yes, Lee Marvin was great in "Seven Men from Now", hellacious
gunfight at the end.
John Wayne almost starred in this one, but he suggested Randolph
Scott. |
