1916: ICHIRO ARASHIMA, who played Mr. Tako of Pacific Pharmaceuticals
in "King Kong vs. Godzilla", is born Tadao Oshima in Nagoya. The
comedic actor was also in "The Three Treasures" and played Senin, the
lusty, incompetent wizard in "The Lost World of Sinbad". He also
played Yuzo Kayama's father in the "Young Guy" films and frequently
teamed with Frankie Sakai.

1924: CATHY DOWNS, who played Carol Forrest in "The Amazing Colossal
Man", is born in Port Jefferson, N.Y. She also starred in "My Darling
Clementine".

1929: HAJIME SATO, who directed "Terror Beneath the Sea", “The Golden
Bat”, and "Goke, Bodysnatcher from Hell", is born in Urawa, Saitama
Prefecture, Japan. He also directed episodes of "Devil Boy".

1940: AKEMI KITA, who played the sneezing model in "Atragon", is born
in Tokyo.

1941: HIROKAZU INOUE, who played Ono-no-Fusamori in “Princess from the
Moon” and Detective Nakagawa in “Ju-on: The Grudge”, is born in Akita,
Japan.

1952: KAZUKI OMORI is born in Osaka. He wrote and directed "Godzilla
vs. Biollante" and "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah" and wrote the
screenplays for "Godzilla vs. Mothra" and "Godzilla vs. Destoroyah".

1959: Professional wrestler MACH FUMIAKE, who played Kilara in "
Gamera: Super Monster", is born.

1965: "The Lost World of Sinbad" is released in the U.S.

1968: Episode 22 of "Ultra Seven", "The Human Farm" (a.k.a. "The
Chromosome Eaters"), debuts on Japanese TV.

1973: Episode 3 of "Kamen Rider V3", "The Execution of V3", debuts on
Japanese TV.
Episode 34 of "Kikaida", "The Monster with Child in Tow Black
Porcupine", debuts on Japanese TV.
Episode 49 of "Swift Hero Lion Maru" premieres on Japanese TV.

1979: Episode 5 of "Battle Fever J", "Battle of the Flying Robots",
debuts on Japanese TV.

1995: "Choriki sentai Orenjaa" ("Superpower Squadron Ohranger")
premieres on Japanese TV with Episode 1, "Invasion! 1999".

2004: "Returner" premieres in Norway on DVD.

2005: "The Grudge" is released in Argentina, Germany and the German-
speaking part of Switzerland.
"Dark Water" is released in Argentina on video.

2008: Episode 4 of "Power Rangers Jungle Fury", "A Taste of Poison",
debuts on U.S. TV.
