The film would be "For a Few Dollars More", where Indio has the
pocket-watch with the little tinkling tune. The track sounds like
the one accompanying the final shoot-out, which I'm sure I have on
CD but the name escapes me at the moment.

On the CD I have, the track I remembered, which might not be the
one you're after, is called "Paying Off Scores". Looking around
www.discogs.com etc, this could be the same as the Italian title
"La Resa dei Conti" which Google translates as "the yield of the
accounts"; which sounds roughly similar, no? The listed English
equivalent of that is "Sixty Seconds to What?".
BTW the composer is Ennio Morricone, obviously -- I mention that
only because you didn't ...

Lest we forget, here it is;
http://www.clinteastwood.net/realmediafiles/music/pocketwatch.ram
Incidentally one one DVD I have of "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly"
there's some scenes in the extras section in the original Italian,
it's odd watching everyone talk in sync with the sound and Clint
talking out of sync in an odd voice.. It was a heck of a strange way
to make a film, with most of the people talking Italian and the stars
talking English. Marvellous films though.
I posted a question about "For a Few Dollars More" just a few days
ago, wondering why Indio said "you shouldn't have shot the apples" to
Manco then made him try on the leather wrist guard before beating him
and Mortimer up. Anyone got any thoughts?

Yeah I saw your post, which was probably why I was so quick to pick
up on this one -- but I've no idea on the apples issue, I'm afraid.

I've just got a new DVD set of all three movies from Amazon, the
"director's cuts" which apparently contain much more footage, I'll see
if it's more obvious with extra story to tell. Sound is supposed to
be much better too, I've not tried them yet.
