I've said it before and I'll say it again. Today's movies have lost their
way in realism and it now appears those "Golden Globe" etc etc awards, are
now based on which movies create the most stunning effects. Not that I am
against those stunning effects, but couple them to a believable storyline
and then I'd enjoy it all the better.
The above movie is an example of what I am talking about. I mean
"Independence Day" of several years ago now, was a movie that was science
fiction to the extreme, but still maintained a degree of "believability" in
it as well as good visual effects. Can any of you come up with a few
excellent movies of late that features what I am looking for in a good
movie?
