Hi,

I have a Lectrosonic CR 175 wireless system. Here's the problem.
When I use it with my Sony HVR-V1U the meter looks good and it sounds
good in headset. When I dump the video/audio in my FCP Studio 2
system the audio is too low (I have to fix it in post) and there is a
hiss to the audio (a constant hiss not interference). I have tried
three hardwire mics in the same XLR adapter and the audio is fine.

I am the only owner of the wireless and have used it around the world
on shoots for years without a problem...

I sent the Lectrosonic back and the engineers tuned it up sent it back
to me and frankly, the audio was worse. They are stumped and so am I.

Here are my camera settings

REC Channel Select--CH 1

CH 1 (where I plug in the wireless) MAN/ +48V off. The audio is 48K.

The only way I can get barely acceptable audio out of the wireless is
to set audio level on the transmitter to its highest setting and the
audio output on the receiver to around the 2 o'clock position.

Any ideas, anyone?

Thanks for the help.
