It's not started yet, but I've used the opening scene to show William
what can be done.
Eventually, the images can be numbered and text will be inserted as
members contribute. Everything in this can be both expanded or reduced
as required.
If you'd like to join us in this group discussion (that's why it's
here), please post you views on the other post, "Hitchcock's Frenzy" and
I contact you later to make certain I have your screen name and email
address.

I had forgotten that Hitchcock's cameo happens in the first moments of
the story.

Rich,

What did you use as an image grabber?

You might have noticed that both John and I are using webtv.
Not a computer, webtv by MSN uses the TV screen as a monitor. This
allows for capturing any image that I see on TV.
There are 'alt.discuss.groups' that are firewalled to prevent
non-webtv members from using.
At these groups, many posters include both audio and video signatures
in their postings. For example, or maybe better, I'll send one to your
email address from me. BigMovieFan.

If this was a webtv group, there'd be no need to build a website.

Wow Dave, that's an incredible site! I will put itin my favorites
on my regular computer with AOL.
I won't be able to use them for the website however because that's
not from a computer and it's powered by the very low-tech (but very
easy to use), webtv, instead of a computer.
Because webtv uses the television screen as it's monitor, anything I
can view on TV can instantly be added to an email and eventually put
into a website. Because of this, I just freeze the DVD at the still I
want and get my images that way. I don't even own a digital camera
mainly because my computer is slow, and my skills are slower. With
webtv, I can send the same images to AOL where I can print them or
send them out in emails.
I took a look at "The Ring" but did not wait for all one thousand
pictures to load. I no longer have that film, so it was nice to see
the 'Joe Poluka' type character in the film again. He reminds me a
little of 'Pete' in my favorite Hitchcock silent, "Manxman."

"The Ring" is a simple little film, but the story is unforgettable.
