French novelist, Colette, best known for 'Gigi', also wrote an acerbic
love-story set among wealthy but over-the-hill Parisian prostitutes of
the Belle Epoque. Stephen Frears (of THE QUEEN) directs Michelle
Pfeiffer in a sumptious role tailor-made for a gorgeous, talented, but
over-the-hill Hollywood actress. A little soap with a little lye,
CHERI is mostly recommended.
