Panasonic 27H (the latest) with 12 bit should look (and film-out) much
better than 27F with 10bits quantization? Any real world experiences?

The DVCPRO-HD recording is still 8-bit though. Basically the 12-bit
DSP allows for a little more dynamic range to be captured.

Thats recording to tape. Wouldn't SDI output give more than 8 bits?

Also, 14bits quantization is common place even on low end cameras like
JVC 200... 12 bits is a bit too low. Anyone attempted 16 bits yet?
