I'm looking for an old version of PC LinuxOS 2007, anyone know a place to
find that?

I used hours on google looking for it:(

The 2009 wont boot on my old laptop, I can't even get to the boot options,
so i read in forums to try the 2007 version but can't find it anywhere.

Did you try MineMe?

http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/texstar/pclinuxos/li...cd/engl

This is a good basic OS, to which you can add using Synaptic.

All dead links. The 2007 .iso is no longer hosted, or supported.

imho, is not a good idea.
you can install a "minimal" last Debian over 486 too.
And then install some light packages (like blackbox, rox, sylpheed,
abiword etc.)

anyhow.. if you really search ad old linux, Debian is the best even for
this.

2007... try Debian Woody, or Debian Sarge

Tired of trolling in the Ubuntu group, eh?

You don't use Linux, never have, and never will. You're simply a simple
Win-droid troll, and not even good at that.

See? Bugger off, Win-droid.

So far what is very obvious in your reply is ignorance and rudeness
maybe some inward reflection might offer a clue.

If you can't get boot options with the 2009.2 CD, then you won't have any more
luck with 2007, check that you did really burn out the iso and not jut stored
the iso file on the CD.

The one showing the ignorance is you. You haven't seen "JBJ" around, as
I have (which I stated in the original post). Get a clue yourself.

Oh, look! Yet *another* drooling Win-droid in a Linux newsgroup. What a
surprise.

You can "counterattack" writing on Windows newsgroup using Linux ones.

Open Suse require 256MB RAM (as every other distribution)

With less than 256MB you can't install latest release of KDE nor GNOME.

Previous Release of GNOME-KDE like those in Debian Etch works fine even
on 128MB

With less than 128 you can't run Firefox... you have to use Dillo instead.

Sadly, that may be true.
I've been using some PC LinuxOS 2007 rpms to keep my workhorse Mdk 10.2
"updated". After seeing this post I re-visited my bookmarked pclos2007
sites to see if I could help.

Several sites are gone -- or hi-jacked. There appear to be a lot of
pclos2009 RPMs "polluting" the pclos2007 directories. No ISOs -- not
that I ever needed a pclos2007 ISO.

I may have it in an old pile of Linux Format CD's around here somewhere...
You could go that route: See is any of the linux magazine that include a
monthly disk have repositories of the old disks online. IIRC, that far
back -- most magazines included CD's - sometimes 2 or more - versus the
mega DVD now-a-days.

Fascinating way you have of winning potential converts to the cause.
Insult them, and send them packing. How often does that work? But then,
anybody who stoops to ever using a Microsoft product is a troll in your
mind, eh? And of course, once a troll always a troll, right? Someone to
be chastised and chased away, instead of enlightened. You poor fool.

Be sure to check my headers, too. You'll see that I'm using Thunderbird
from Mandriva Linux 2009.1. Of course, since you don't think Thunderbird
is a "real" newsreader, that too makes me a troll in your myopic,
tunnel-visioned eyes. Pity.

Now, crawl back into your cave so you can gnaw on your bone and leave
civilized folks in peace.
