Hi
Can some tell me how/if I can set ownership of my home folfer to myself
not root. Can I do this recursively through my home folder.
This is because when I last installed my suse os I then copiedstuff that I
had backed up onto/into my /home/myfile but kept comeing up against
permission conflicks.
thank you for any help.
just one thing more, can anyone tell me what 'chmod -R 777'does. More so
how to undo what ity does. When I executed this command on my picture
file. I got an error telling me that the file doesn't exist any more.
But in root I can still see the files contents. phew but as a usr I can't
access the files.
