I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04 and found that the latest version of
Adobe Flash (10) didn't support hardware acceleration for my old Rage 128
video.
I went to the Adobe site and they gave the option of backdating to Flash
version 9. I followed their instructions and while it runs I now have no
sound when playing Flash videos such as those on Youtube.
I did a Google and found others had the same problem, but it was
apparently caused by multiple copies of libflashplayer.so or multiple
plugins in Firefox. Neither applied in my case.
Has anyone else with 10.04 and a Rage video tried to backpedal to an
earlier Flash version? Please let me know what you found out. Thanks
