am on unstable@iBookG4 and did a safe-upgrade today
and it seemed to have broutht an another kernel installed
which also gave me that warning saying that
the same numbered kernel is coming (usually a reboot will solve the risk ... ?)

this time a reboot result into
waiting for root file system for a long time
which drops of to a BusyBox-shell saying that the dev which has my
root is not there

it also says:

Error inserting
i8042(modules/2.6.22-1-powerpc/kernel/drivers/input/serio/i8042.ko):
No such device

did this only happened to me?
i'd better re-install?

You don't need serio/i8042 on an ibook. It will break prep/chrp/pegasos
though.
