Archived from groups: alt>os>linux>debian (more info?)

Hi All,

I would like to use Open Office 3 instead of Open Office 2.4.1 on my
Debian Lenny installation because apt-cache policy openoffice.org is
telling

--- cut ---
openoffice.org:
Installiert: 1:2.4.1+dfsg-1+lenny3
Kandidat: 1:2.4.1+dfsg-1+lenny3
Versions-Tabelle:
1:3.1.1-1~bpo50+1 0
1 http://www.backports.org lenny-backports/main Packages
*** 1:2.4.1+dfsg-1+lenny3 0
500 http://security.debian.org lenny/updates/main Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
1:2.4.1+dfsg-1 0
500 http://ftp.de.debian.org lenny/main Packages
1:2.4.1-17+b1 0
500 cdrom://[Debian GNU/Linux 5.0.0 _Lenny_ - Official i386 DVD
Binary-1 20090214-16:54] lenny/main Packages
--- cut ---

The sources.list looks like this:

--- cut ---
# /etc/apt/sources.list
# Adapted 2009-10-10

deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux 5.0.0 _Lenny_ - Official i386 DVD Binary-1
20090214-16:54]/ lenny contrib main

deb http://www.backpors.org/debian lenny openoffice.org

deb http://security.debian.org/ lenny/updates main contrib non-free
deb-src http://security.debian.org/ lenny/updates main contrib non-free

deb http://www.backports.org/debian lenny-backports main contrib non-free
deb http://www.backports.org/debian lenny openoffice

deb http://volatile.debian.org/debian-volatile lenny/volatile main
contrib non-free
deb-src http://volatile.debian.org/debian-volatile lenny/volatile main
contrib non-free

deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ lenny main non-free contrib
deb-src http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ lenny main non-free contrib
--- cut ---

When using apt-get install openoffice.org apt is not referring to the
backports archive.

What do I do to get OpenOffice.org3 installed?

Regards

Cedric

Hi,
The line : deb http://www.backpors.org/debian lenny openoffice.org
is not necessary in your source list (and it display a typing error)

Just try

aptitude -t lenny-backports install openoffice.org

explanation: http://backports.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=instructions

Sincerely
