In ~/.mailcap I have gv to handle application/postscript mime type (ps,
eps)
but opera still use evince when I try to open file. Of course I can make
default behavior to start gv, but it'd be likely to have download dialog
and my own application to use.
so, where does the opera get file associations?

thanks

I think it's mostly the gnome and kde settings that are used.

thanx

i'm using ion3 windows manager. Both gnome and kde are also installed. It
seems for me that opera ignores kde's settings (I changed it).
Later I will try to change gnome's association.
