Is there any dist for embedd linux for X86?
if it support ramdisk booting and small root file system without X-windows
.. it is best to me.

www.buildroot.org

should do you fine. It's not so much a distro as a single build environment
for generating a small highly customisable bootable system.

Takes a few hours to build, but it's not hard.
