€200 !!! Thats a little pricey here in the states thanks to Bush...That
comes out just under $400... They just sold a UP2000 w/2 750mhz cpus for
just over $450! Just to put things in perspective for ya, its about 6-8x
faster... Will L G

I make it about $US260; the Euro is around $1.28 at the moment.

If nobody is interested, I will throw it on ebay, where you can get a
higher price her in europe.

You might what to go ahead and do that... Here everyone knows what an
AlphaPC 164LX is all about... To give you a good idea what they're
selling for eBay:

UP2000 w/2-750mhz cpus:
$456
http://tinyurl.com/hjbw4
*auction has ended

AlphaPC 164LX incl. 8 cpus:
$25
http://tinyurl.com/nszug
*auction still in progress

Just a personal note, that UP2000 might be my old one that I bought
several months ago. The guy I sold it to on eBay resold it, then it was
sold again, and again, and again Wink

Don't get like Watkinson was, he used to hang out in this group. He
'thought' his UP1500 was worth $5000... after 8+ relistings on eBay he
managed to let it go for $550 for everything. He only paid $600 for the
motherboard/cpu a year or so before. If he had of taking my offer of
$400 for the motherboard/cpu, he would have finished slightly ahead if
he sold the rest for parts but I guess his eyes were too big for his
stomach after seeing several high end Alpha's being auctioned for around
$5,000... the only problem was, they weren't selling...

There was a company in Germany trying to move several GS's on eBay... I
believe they were GS40 and they were asking $10,000... they didn't sell
a single one. It makes sense though, who would pay that kind of money
for a 4cpu 1ghz machine when you could do better with an AMD64 that
would accept modern hardware and run circles around it all at a fraction
of the price?!?! A dual AMD64 X2 could be had for under $2,000 without
a problem... Will L G
