Hello NG.

I have a problem using screen.

I want to use it to download torrents using BitTornado. The command I
use:
screen -S someScreenName -d -m btdownloadheadless --max_download_rate
500 --max_upload_rate 100 someTorrent.torrent
It used to work just fine exactly with this command, but since i set up
the machine new from scratch, it just won't work anymoree. Screen
terminates itself just 1-3 seconds after it started.

It works just fine if i put something like "vim foo.bar" instead of the
btdownloadheadless thing. This, at first, made me think there was
something wrong with BitTornado (btdownloadheadless), however, if i run
the btheadless command just like that without the screen things in
front of it, it works normal.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

After the command, when screen's started but before it quits
Immediately press ^A c
(create a new screen)

Screen terminates if the program its running terminates and there's only one
console in it. So if you create another "window", the other one might
terminate and leave an error message...

Use bash redirection to redirect any output from the program to a log file?
If that fails the only other thing I can suggest is strace (that might be a
little deep for most users though)
