Archived from groups: comp>os>linux>networking (more info?)

Hello,

I am not sure where the best place to post this question
would be but since it is somewhat related to networking
I thought I might ask here if nobody minds. My question
is, suppose I have the Message ID from a post. Can I
use that message ID later on in a google search
somehow to retrieve the post, and perhaps also
the thread associated with such post?

Also, although a separate question to do with SMTP
this time I believe, is the maximum length of a line
that an email can have 70 characters excluding the
attached carriage return and line feed making it 72
altogether?

Thanks,

John Goche

Could you please quote one such group?

Thanks,
