Linux single floppy

Hai,


I have compiled linux kernel 2.4.32 and created a bzImage of size less
then 600KB. Now i need to Build linux into a single floppy. what should
i do next so that i can build small linux that can fit into 1.44 MB
floppy.What are the next steps i should follow.

I'm a bit rusty on compiling 2.4 kernels - I've actually only done that
once and then started using 2.6 kernels - but if I'm not mistaken, then
there should be a command...

make boot

.... or something similar to create a bootfloppy. You should check the
/Makefile/ in the directory with the kernel source for available
options.

At least with RedHat 6.* through 7.2 on Alpha, "make boot"
was a way to compile a whole kernel. The "make bzimage"
target is/was a kludge specific to X86, IIRC.

Likewise.

Unfortunately, I don't know a better way to make a single
boot floppy image.
