I now have Suse 11, whereas before I had Suse 10.2. With
the old system, when I displayed a window of a directory
containing jpg pictures, they all appeared as thumbnails,
whose size I could adjust to taste.
With the new Suse 11, I only get icons showing that these
are jpgs, but not the thumbnails. I assume I can choose
these, but I can't see any way to do it in the menu at the
top.
Where do I go to set for the thumbnail option?

You haven't given enough information for anyone who's not using the same
system as you to be able to help you. For a start - which window manager
(gnome? kde? or what?)
You also haven't said what you've done to try and fix the problem yourself.
For a start, have you looked at the "View" menu for an option on how to
display the file icons?

Try Edit > Preferences, then click on the "Preview" tab
Are your pictures on your hard disk or a camera card? |

I get Konqueror when I click on directories. Yes, I have
checked under View, not a sausage. And I have also tried
going into Edit Preferences, nothing doing there. Ar well
thanks anyway.

Try View > View mode > Icon view
and View > Preview > Images
This advice is based on Konqueror 3.5.8 on Ubuntu 7.10. |

Of course that's what I looked for for a start, but it
isn't there. Thanks anyway.
