where to start? Would like to become a Linux System Admin...

You could do worse than read some of the manuals here...
https://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/

Then you might try setting some concrete targets, like getting a web
server, samba file or mail server going rather than trying to grappe
with the whole of Linux in one lump.
