Before I jump, does Fedora have a GUI (like synaptic) to manage easily
new software installation? Tks.

Great!!! I'm getting ahead of myself, but I can hardly wait for my
Fedora disks to arrive. Can you tell me under what menu to find Yumex in
Fedora 6? Thanks!

You have to install it, it's not installed by default. After you install
it you'll find it under Applications/System Tools.

To do the install do,

yum -y install yumex

There is another application called pirut that also gives you a package
installation GUI. It's not on the FC6 menus, it might be on the F7 menues.
