Just did a little speed test with GCC-4.1.0 and its nearing the performance
of Compaq C... not too shabby. There was only a 16% difference in speed
while running OpenSSL Speed Tests! Not too bad at all, before I was getting
a difference of 30+ % ! Will L G

Well thats the only way that I can test it... It took a little bit, to work
out the problems with GMP and MPFR [math libraries for Fortran support to
build]. After that, everything took off like a top... It's not too bad,
nothing like XFree86 or Xorg *hehehe* Will L G

Oh, no.. I didn't compile the whole distro...just openssl and a few apps. I
mis-understood your question... After compiling OpenSSL, I just ran the
speed test [ a good indicator provided you have all the computers use the
same version]. Will L G
