Im running a Linux (i'm new, so the Linux flavors of my new domain are the least of my problems...ie im not certain which distro the FW is running) firewall/DNS server, and recently added some new machines to the internal DNS record while also poking around to see what is what. I had enough DNS issues in my rookie years to know to tread very lightly w/ DNS. So i dont think i stepped on any flowers.

Now, it appears that no one internally can reach our externally hosted website. we are able to ping every site ive tried (google, yahoo, bbc, etc) but our own site. the site is reachable by the outside world, and even the firewall can get to it, but internally it just times out. The domain name for the web site is the same as our local domain name, so im afraid DNS is somehow confused.

Any ideas would be awesome. like i said, im new here and i dont want to screw up anything my first week.

Thanks-

mm Embarassed
