Help!

Why Debian initrd doesn't contain Adaptec-2940 driver

Archived from groups: comp>os>linux>alpha (more info?)

I tried install newest Debian dist to Miata, it starts installer but when it
searches connected devices.
So problem is that it newer finds CD-ROM which is connected to Adaptec-2940,
because kernel lacks of Adaptec-2940 driver, not even module.

Any clues for this ?
