In DDTSS two identical English paragraphs with only one space of
difference are seen as different.

For example if the package libghc6-pandoc-dev is already translated in
your language than the libghc6-pandoc-doc has seen by DDTSS as
completely not translated, when you need to translate only the last
paragraph!

This is an extra work for translator and so the same English text can
have different translations.

This is very simple task to implement.

Where can I report bug and wishlist for DDTSS?

There is a source code for the DDTSS system?

How can one download all the DDTSS translation (with old packages version)?

Ciao
Davide

Against debian-i18n, with DDTP / DDTSS in the title.
See
http://bugs.debian.org/debian-i18n for already reported bugs.

For sure it's on i18n.debian.net, the machine that runs DDTP/DDTSS.
As I cannot find the source elsewhere, and as this machine is not
accessible to DDs but rules are different, I cannot tell you more.
Christian ? Martijn ?

http://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/unstable/main/i18n/Translation-fr.bz2
- you can replace unstable with whatever distribution you want
- you can replace fr with whatever language you want.

I know.
But these have only the last translated text.

I have made a script[0] that download these files and now I'm working in
a new version that will probably use also outdated translations.
Actually it give untranslated paragraphs and characters numbers for each
untranslated packages.

Many thanks for the reply
Davide

The reason is basically that "paragraphs" are indexed by md5sum and
one character is enough to make the md5sum totally different.

My question is, why do the originals differ by only a space?

Anyway, I thought Pootle was going to provide full translation
features. Fixing this is DDTS is going to be quite painful....

Have a nice day,

probably for a better layout... I don't know.
We try to always use only one space between words, but a lot of English
packages descriptions have extra space between words.

If I not mistake yesterday we have translated a package description that
have only an extra space between two words.

I have made a small script[1] to solve some nasty problems (for example
to automatically fetch all packages that have been already translated in
the past) and to speed up translation. Now I'm (very slow) working in a
better new version.

Ciao
