Hello folks,
plugging in a usb device with a filesystem other than vfat, does not work.
I get this errori popping up in a dialog box:
hal-storage-removable-mount-all-options refused uid 174
The disk looks like this:
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdc1 1 30401 244196001 7 HPFS/NTFS
The same goes for my ipod.
Any ideas?

Try to add in /etc/fstab:
/dev/sdc1 your_mount_point ntfs defaults,user,auto,umask=000 0 0
Use ntfs-3g to rw access to ntfs partitions

Although this works for this specific case; is this a good solution? Shouldn't KDE's media manager
handle any arbitrary usb device I plug in? This works flawlessly with gnome-volume-manager, and it also
did some unknown time ago in KDE.
