You need x11-libs/wxGTK installed.
Also, make sure you do NOT have ~x86 (or whatever your arch is) set
globally in /etc/make.conf. If you need the experimental version for
certain packages (like net-p2p/amule), set it for those
in /etc/portage/package.keywords.
