What are the dimensions of your laptop screen?
I believe the proper desktop for a 15.4" widescreen is 1280 x 800.
Right click a blank spot on the desktop and select properties. Click on the Settings tab in the screen that comes up. See if the slider in the screen area allows you a setting of 1280 x 800.

Hello,

You can use the F11 key with most web browsers to toggle them between running in windowed and full-screen modes.

Hello,

I suppose it depends on how often you will be moving the notebook computer around and what locations you will be using it in, Lockergnome33.
