Question: Do I have to wait until after February 17, 2009 to watch DTV?]

Answer: No, digital television is available now. If you watch over-the-air television today, you should be able to receive all or most of your local stations’ digital signals if you have a DTV receiver. You may view high definition and multicast programming from your local stations. Check your local program listings or contact your local TV stations to find out more about the digital television available now. The FCC’s special website, www.dtv.gov, has more information on digital television, or call 1-888-225-5322 (TTY: 1-888-835-5322).

Does anyone have the digital to Analog converter box yet?
Are you watching Digital TV on an Analog TV?
How does the new Digital picture compare to the old Analog picture?

I bought the converter box and have been using the digital tv for about a month now.
Overall, I'd have to say I dont like it. There are more channels to watch with a clearer picture however if you get too close to the antenna or a breeze hits the antenna the screen messes up. Some local channels apparently don't have the best digital signals and their channels show up scramble and the sound goes in and out.
My kids love it; I have gone without cable for about six months and since I've gotten the digital on my analog tv the kids can go to a sister channel and watch cartoons all day almost. What I mean by sister channel is this: the Christian channel here is 59. Well now there are channels 59-1, 59-2, 59-3, 59-4 and 59-5. 59-5 has children's programs running about 24hrs a day.
I also don't like that the default screen is a wide screen view (maybe its the brand I purchased). To get the picture on the whole screen I have to choose crop; well with crop it does just that... crop. I can't see full faces or words depending on where the characters/words are positioned.
I wish we had more time for manufacturers to tweak their equipment before we were forced to purchase. (I did use the government coupons which helped financially)
