some type of virus? please help...

in case any of you remember me from my previous posts, the following is being posted on behalf of my roomate. he wrote this up and the problem is with his computer.
i am just posting it for him because i had a login.

Hello,

Lately my computer has been running slow and I've been getting a couple of errors. I'm pretty sure I have some kind of virus or trojan infecting my computer. Here's one of the errors I get when I start my computer:


C:\WINDOWS\system32\command.com
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
(This problem happens when I start my computer)


Problems I've been having:
A pop up keeps showing telling me I have a trojan called trojandownloader.xs and it tries to get me to install a program called PC Antispyware. In the past I downloaded a program called PC Cleaner and started to scan my computer using that but later found out that it was malicious and deleted it. I don't know if I got another virus from that.

Another similiar pop up I'm getting is one that is a "Security System Warning" It reads as follows:

Please make sure you post the HijackThis header also next time

Go to C:\Windows\repair\ and copy the autoexec.nt file. Paste a copy of that file into C:\Windows\system32\.

Go to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix and follow the instructions on how to install the Recovery Console and run ComboFix. Go through all the steps until posting the log part. Post the combofix log here.

Download SmitfraudFix at http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip and extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder. Double-click on smitfraudfix.cmd and select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press Enter. A text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present). Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 or any other option until you are directed to do so!

NOTE: process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs as a Risk Tool. It is not a virus. If you get this detected, ignore it.
