taskbar problem

Don't know how or where to class this problem but here goes.
Recently as of yesterday my klamAV is showing multiple icons in the taskbar. Each time I use the menu to open the application it only adds another icon to the mess. I can open an application from each icon and even close it but the icon remains in the taskbar, right clicking does nothing.
I'm hoping someone can help. Thanks
