Unable to get Linux driver for HP Scanjet 4850 scanner - any know how to fix this? Question

On my system, I use a USB scanner. I installed the appropriate sane-backend package, and followed the directions on the SANE WEB site. It has been a while, so i do not remember the details, but I used the Windows driver file (from the WIndows install CD for my scanner) which in my case had a .usb extension. I suggest you start at the SANE WEB site. There is great documentation there.

Appears to be unsupported in SANE
