you might have seen me post in this forum some place about a program
called priority. that is good, but its company page seems to be gone. you can find it on majorgeeks.com if you still want that program.

it is one that starts all the programs you start after it is started, in high priority.

thats fine but if your like me it lasts only for about half a year then you want to find something that will remember the setting each time you reboot. that is where this new one starts at.

well its new to me i think it was made before the priority program?

but both can be found on majorgeeks.com

this one is now what i am using because it remembers the settings.
and i was getting tired of going in to the task manager and putting my mouse drivers on realtime.

PriorityControl_STATIC

that is the name.
and its web site is.

http://optionalreaction.com/software/PriorityControl_STATIC/

it is a program that needs a little forefront told to you.

just unzip the zip file in to a folder to keep the program in. then go and click on the exe to start the program. it will ask you to make shortcuts.

then when you finish with the shortcuts it will be in the system tray.
left click it's tray icon to get the panel up
then just go to setting the prioritys on the programs you want to change.

since you put the icon in the start up folder for it then each time you reboot when this program starts it will change all the prioritys to what its told to set them at.

makes it easy to set the windows boot up files that just seem to be not needed after a few minutes to a lower priority, and set the ones you use to real time.

one word of advice on the setting of prioritys.

WATCH WHAT YOU PUT IN REALTIME some things will in fact crash the computer if in realtime. and some things like games that start with a game start exe and then the game exe. if both those are in real time. well your not gong to get any control in the game. best to leave the game start exe in normal priority and the game exe in real time.

if you are wondering yes i was dumb and did that so i am warning you about it so you don't be dumb. i thought i would get double the real time in the game and beat the other players in fact since i lost most control of the game i got triple the slow down and lost to the other players.

so there are some things you cant put in real time. but if you got mouse drivers that show up as a process. then put them in real time you will have control working when the programs are crashed or starting to crash.
and you might beable to click on a ram cleaner and get more of it for the program to stop crashing.?

so mouse drivers should be in real time.

you will have to find out what to change on your system cause every system is set up different.

Cool
