When I try to log into skype I get the message "Skype can't connect." This is very strange because it was working just hours earlier. I didn't install anything new. I didn't really change anything on my computer. I tried all the usual things. I checked my firewall, disabled my antivirus, and uninstalled and reinstalled. Stll have the same problems. I called my brother and he signed into skype with his computer. I asked him for his skype username and password to see if I could login to his account. I could not login to his account on my computer either.

As I said before. My skype was working just hours earlier, and I can't think of anything that might have changed. My internet connection is a shared wireless connection. Any suggestions?

Can you access all other internet things, like your email, web page, etc.

In all this, have you rebooted your PC?

Do you have your own Wireless router?

Yes, everything else works fine. My internet connection is completely functional.
Yes, I have rebooted my PC.
Right now I am not using my own wireless router. I'm staying at a place that has a shared wireless connection. As I said before, Skype was functioning just fine using this internet connection for several days. That's why this is so confusing. Neither my computer nor my internet connection have changed at all recently.

Hello,

Do you have the ability to bypass the wireless connection and plug directly into a wired Internet connection? If so, does that make any difference?
