Website Monitor

Can anyone recommend a free program (either web-based or something to install) that I could use to monitor a webserver?

I ran across SiteUptime which seems to do the trick (I'm going to try their free version out) but I wonder if others have something even better.

Here's an option, though I can't vouch for them personally: AlertSite.

And these guys are free, but require a backlink.

I am also using siteuptime, only problem is the period they
check your site is live, which is about 1 hour.

I'd like also something like 1check/minute even if it is per pay

SiteUptime does allows for adding 2 minute monitoring for any of their paid accounts. LINK

Oh, definitely. I wrote one several years ago and it's freeware.
I'm actually shocked you didn't find it doing a web search??
