| My sims 2 for the pc keeps on freezing, then i have to ctrl+alt+delete it to exit. I can't even create a family, it wont let me get that far it freezes every time. any tips or ideas to help it?

| nope, i just installed it like a week ago, and havnt been able to do anything. i get 5 mins into the game then it freezes compleatly. |

Please download and run SysSpec. Run the file > click edit > click copy to clipboard and then paste it with your reply.
Do you have the latest Sims 2 patch installed? |

i have the sims 2 downloaded but i dont know wut a patch is.

A patch is essentially the same as a Windows update, it updates the game and removes bugs.

You can get it from the above address, download the corresponding patch and install it.
You're supposed to paste the sysspec information so I can see what PC you have.
Download and run SysSpec. Run the file > click edit > click copy to clipboard, start a reply and paste it in your reply (click edit and then click paste). |

| What is the exact model number of your laptop, it should say on the sticker on the bottom of the laptop. |

Click on the link and then click the start detection button. After you click the button click continue, follow the on screen instructions to install the product, once installed click next it, will then take a few minutes to detect the product and will display your model number post back with the model number.

it asks me if i want to install and overwrite the graphics card i have now, because the one i am about to install is an older one than the one i have now.
should i do it ne ways? |

Click start > click run > type eventvwr.msc > click ok.
Look under system and application for errors with red Xs than happened at the same time as the problem and then list them with your reply. (Double clicking the error message will display more details). |
