Hello all. I just installed a copy of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. The application installed just find. However, when I tried to open the application, I received a message box:

"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail."

I cannot seem to find the application event log to see what it says. I have never seen an error like this before.

Can you help?

I am running windows Vista Home Edition SP 2 - 32 bit version.

Hello,

It sounds like the computer may be missing some files. Try downloading and installing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) and see if that solves the issue.
