Post subject: Need to reset BIOS

I have a Samsung R40Plus running Vista Home Premium, and want to replace it with XP PRO; trouble is, the BIOS is passworded and it's not mentioned anywhere in the documentation. Could anyone tell me if there's any way onboard of re-setting the BIOS? (Sorry if it's a naive question, but I'm new to mobiles..)

this free program might do it, if the computer uses one of the BIOSes listed.
If the BIOS isn't in the list, who is the vendor and what is the version number.

Hello friend !
If you have not really password for entering in
BIOS mode of their system then simply call to their hardware vendor .

Hi lockergnome33!

My apologies for my tardy reply: the Samsung is long since sorted, and now runs XP Pro beautifully; just about to upgrade to a 250Gig HDD, in fact!

Thank you for taking the time to reply - I'm most grateful to you along with everyone who else who helped.
