Help please, can anyone tell me how to remove the hard drive
from a Gateway M3109 notebook. I have removed the two small
screws (marked) and the drive comes out about 3/8 inch and
gets stuck. Is there a hidden latch? Or a source of hardware info
online re notebook dis-assembly?
This pc has lost onboard video and repair costs are more than
price new 2 years ago. I want to recover data for owner so need
to get hard drive out.

Is the model an ML3109?

Yes, it is ML3109 and the info you link confirms that the
drive should just slide out. It acts as if the inner mounting screws
may not have been screwed in all the way, causing a force fit.
I will pull a little harder. The system is already broken, so
little more harm can be done now. Thank you.
