I have a asus p4sd-la mobo. While trying to test a different comp that I had just made,I used the power suppy from my comp by just taking them off my board and hooking them to the new comp.(the wires were long enough to put the 2 comps side by side and hook up with out having to pull my power supply out and unhook every thing in my comp.I only used the mobo power wires to power up the new mobo and check its bios.) after doing that I hooked the wires back to my comp and fired it up but it only comes to a dark blank screen with the cursor flashing at the top as if waiting for something to be typed! I reset the bios and restarted it.In the bios I had it boot from the same drive as usaual but when restarting it,it only went back to the cursor flashing at the top screen again.(bios screen at start up does not even come up.) So reset bios again.restarted,go into bios and configure then restart.same blank cursor screen.reset bios again,restart,go into bios and selet another of my hard drives to boot from,restart and same blank screen!( I have several hard drives in my comp with windows on them that I can boot from.)which leads me to belive that its not one of my drives cause after I changed the boot drive,nothing changed as far as it trying to boot differently! Like I said,unless I reset the bios,I cant even get to the bios screen when I restart it!! PLZ help with any ideas at all Thank you!!
