laptop graphics

can anybody help?
i'm thinking of buying a laptop, and i'd like to know the difference between 2 graphics cards......

so far my "research" has left me not much the wiser

nvidia geforce 8400 gs

and

nvidia geforce go 8600

The specifications for the nVidia GeForce 8400M series can be found on this page on nVidia's web site, and the specifications for the nVidia Geforce 8600M series can be found on this page.

The 8600M series seems to offer higher performance than the 8400M series, at least on paper.

The "M" designation replaces the "Go" designator for a mobile notebook graphics chipsets.
