I wrote a program today in C# that can increase the size of the Win7 taskbar previews. Bizarrely as a new user I can't post files or links to files, so if anyone is interested PM me with your email address and I can send the file to you. Feedback is welcome.

Max size seems to be just over 500 pixels (which still isn't quite big enough for me); that's about 5x the size of the standard preview.

If anything I would like to find out how to make the icons on the taskbar smaller not larger to fit more on, I know what icons I put there and recognize them by them by their icon so a smaller icon would allow more launchable links from the taskbar.
