Hi...Welcome to the forum...it really is a great place to troubleshoot a multitude of problems. There are a number of members on this site who are very knowledgable and helpful. I'm really glad you found help here....it's always good to know why something does what it does. I've had no problems at all since I've changed from hotmail and have NO plans to go back.....Good Luck.

Here is one of those "little" naggy thinggys.

What if.......
Mind you..... What if....
Hotmail ..... THINKS .... the picture in question MAY contain code
that COULD be harmful to your computer??

I do know full and well, that there are programs out there giving you the ability to "hide" files within a picture. Furthermore, code can be added to "take advantage" of a "hole" in viewing software.

These scares have forced many to "find ways" to keep those pictures from becoming viewable, hence, stopping a code from running.

..... Could it be Possible that Hotmail is Mistakenly labeling some pictures as possible "threats"? ...

Hi PCrattail....Thanks for the input. That surely is a possibility. I've thought that might be the case as junk mail does the same thing until you allow content, but I've found, and Hotmail can offer, no way to get around a possible block. There's so much out there that can be seen as harmful, particularly with pictures.....and it may be true. They may be a threat if opened, but so far since changing to Yahoo I've had no problem. Thanks again.

The cause of this problem (only occures in htomail) could be when the images are inserted in the HTML and that HTML is not well formated.
For example, when the rendered HTML is:
<a
href="http://www.mediadetails.com>
<img border="0" alt="" width="82" height="82"
src=
"someimage.gif" />
</a>

This example probably doens't show the image neither the link works.
