help what the ... is going on with windows live mail?

i got the new update for windows live mail i found on majorgeeks.com

it was just a link to microsofts site, but when i ran the install it hosed
my old version of the desktop live mail client ,

now i can't get it back the restore did not work, and updating windows live by getting all the programs again won't work it says i have live mail installed. but it won't show and theres no icons.

it says i'm out of ram?/ with 500 mb's of it free? and it says to close all programs i have open? i only have the windows live trying to open either off line or on line. so theres no program blocking it.? just what is going on microsoft i can't even get mypop 3 email now cause you toasted outlook express some time ago.

fix this crap update and get my desktop live email client to show and work.
so i can get the pop 3 account again.

and anyone else if you know what to do since microsoft seems to have mucked up again please tell me how to fix it.

this is fixed i am not sure how but it is FIXED

as i said i don't know how so don't ask?

over 3 to 5 hours of trying to fix it and or telling it to repair the install.

then just doing several restarts and reboots. with and with out all the programs in the system tray on,

and scanning through the back up files on the other hard drive, looking for anything that was needed but not found by the program, and an anit spyware check and antivirus scan later,

i just decided to try it again and the thing started up. did not make any new icons on the desk top i had to do that but it is running now.
strange new icons it uses.


so there is no way for me to know what fixed it.

so please microsoft get this figured out and fix it because i'll bet there are alot of others that wont know to do even as much as i did trying to fix it.

and it really is a big error cause it does wipe out all control of email by not putting icons on the start bar or on the desk top and when you do click on the exe in the folder it won't show the app.

so something i did above had to fix it just what is anyone's guess.
