It's getting really ugly out there, folks.

Do you have any source that isn't so badly cut up video? I remember not too long ago someone else complaining about cut up video from Fox. I wonder who that could have been? Oh that;s right, it was both of the posters above me in this thread.

Here it is. All disgusting 14:40 of it.

Right at the top. (Rep. Bachmann suggests 'liberal' is anti-American)
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036697/

At 4:39 Matthews starts asking her if Obama, Biden, Pelosi and Reid, are anti-American.

At 6:26 she finally admits she thinks Obama has "anti-American" feelings.

The real mud starts slinging after that.

At 9:40 Matthews starts asking her how many members of Congress are anti-American....

Click the video on the left (U.S. enemies within?) , you'll get the FULL 11:05 Katrina Vanden Huevle, Pat Buchanan video.

The cut version made it easier to keep one's stomach contents down.

well, first, if I realized that this was Chris Mathews, I wouldn't have bothered to ask for the whole video. I thought this was a real interview, as opposed to an attack as usual. He's the one that pushed that the "unpatriotic" idea.

I heard her clearly say, in response to Mathews questioning over top of her trying to answer, that Ayers and Wright are "over the top anti-American".

She did not say she "thinks Obama has anti-American views" at 6:26. She did answer Mathews question, and said that she's concerned that he MAY have anti-American views, and that the American people have the same questions (many of us do, based on his own words and his past and present associations). We want to know why he has such mentors as Wright and Flager.

And you're right, Mathews mud slinging and pathetic "questions" were disgusting.

Over and over, Mathews tried to force her to say that liberals are anti-American. And over and over again she said that Wright, Ayers, Flager, and the other liberals that Obama has been associated with have anti-American views, and that that raises questions about what Obama believes. And she's right - Obama's friends have been anti-American and liberal.

And she DID NOT call for investigations of Congress. Mathews repeatedly pressed her, asking how many in Congress are anti-American. Her answer was "you'd have to ask them. I'm focused on Barak Obama and the people he's been associated with."

Again, in response to Mathews relentless questions, dhe did say that she'd love it if the MEDIA did an expose on the views of the Congresspeople. That's FAR from a McCarthy hearing. And calling it such was so far over the top it's not funny. But it's exactly what I expect from Obama's supporters in the media. I'm saddened that it got repeated here again, and without any context as usual. And immediately believed as usual.

No, the cut version didn't make ' it easier to keep one's stomach contents down.' It removed all context and changed the whole thing into a smear. Exactly what I keep hearing you Obama supporters say you don't like.

You really worked hard trying to spin that into something seemingly harmless. Too bad it's all an allusion. Or delusion? I'm not sure which. Maybe neither. Maybe it's denial, because what's left of the Republican campaign has fermented into pond scum.

Bachmann Comments Raise At Least $400k For Opponent [updated]

(The Politico) It's unlikely that the American media will produce the "penetrating exposé" into whether members of Congress are "pro-America or anti-America" that Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) called for Friday, but there has been at least one consequence she may not have expected: Her congressional opponent, Democrat El Tinklenberg, has been showered with cash from all parts of the country — America, that is — as apparently insulted Americans respond to Bachmann's request.
