| When I said try cleaning th disk I meant cleaning the CD/DVD.
This will have no effect on your other software.

| Try using a different CD/DVD drive or try a manual installation. The manual installation instructions are early in this thread. |

I've tried the manual uninstall and then I was doing the manual install. While the manual installation is in progress, should it be asking for disc 2? And if so, what should I do?
I'm asking this because I was doing the manual installation and it asked for disc 2 - then I wasn't sure what to do. |
I need to know the same thing. What do I do? |

Try close all background tasks including anti-virus.
Try renaming the install shield folder in case that's the problem.
Double-click on the My Computer icon.
Double-Click on the C:
Double-Click on Program Files then on Common Files.
Right-Click on the InstallShield folder.
Select Rename.
Rename it to InstallShieldOld.
Start the installation again to reinstall the InstallShield components with the newest version.
Also update the CD/DVD drives firmware from the manufacturers website. |

The firmware update for your CD/DVD drive. You can get them from either the PC manufacturers website or the drive manufacturers website.
Have you got another CD/DVD drive you can try? |

Hello WillysCutie and welcome to Lockergnome!
I'm sorry but I can't provide you with an installation code.
Contact EA customer services and they may issue with a new one. Otherwise you'll have to buy the game again. |

Hello supervixen2x0 and welcome to Lockergnome!
Have you got another CD/DVD drive you can use? If so try installing the game using that drive.
Have you tried a manual installation? |

Actually all I did was rename the installshield folder, and it was fine, lol I also cleaned the disk which I noticed had a few kinda like dotted scratches on a small area. But it's all better now!! Thanks! |
